RIPE stands for Retired People at
Emmanuel. For the 'I' one could perhaps insert an adjective such as
'interesting' or 'intelligent'...
RIPE is for all retired people:
We extend a warm welcome to everyone! We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays on the month at 2.30pm. Our time together generally includes a short time of worship, news and updates, prayers and a speaker - followed by excellent refreshments and an opportunity to get to know one another better. The aim is to encourage one another as we seek to know Jesus better, serve Him, make new friends and have fun together.
We have a monthly Service and a daytime home group members are welcome to
join. There are regular outings on the 5th Thursdays - pub lunches are
popular. We also have an annual Outreach Supper with a Special Guest Speaker
and an Annual Garden Tea Party. |
