Churches Together for Chesham
supports the working together of Christian churches within Chesham.

Churches Together for Chesham Statement of Commitment

Churches Together for Chesham unites in pilgrimage those churches in the Chesham area which, acknowledging God's revelation in Christ, confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. In obedience to God's will and in the power of the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to seek a deepening of our communion with Christ and with one another in the Church which is His body, and to fulfil our mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness and service in the world, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

On this pilgrimage we seek to:

• Deepen our commitment to each other as individual Christians and as organisations.

• Broaden our commitment to mutual recognition of ordained ministry.

We are committed to:

• Jointly proclaiming the Gospel through witness and service.

• Sharing in worship and study.

• Encouraging mutual recognition of Ministry and Membership.

• Encouraging youth work and inter-church youth action.

• Enabling mutual support and care for Ministers and Pastors.
