Sharing and Learning’ is the title we use for a number of different
events which bring people together and which provide opportunities for
exploring aspects of our faith in a relaxed and non-threatening environment.
Sharing & learning events take place either in a home or in the church
rooms and all include some form of shared meal. Our learning comes from
discussion, a talk by an expert or is guided by the leader .
This year we are exploring a number of topical issues from a Christian
perspective and within the context in which we live.
An evening home group meets every other month on a Tuesday
evening. Each evening includes a time of worship, a shared meal and a guided
time of learning and exploring aspects of what it means to be a Christian.
The contact person is Hilary Wilson on 01494 775564
A lunchtime group meets on the 4th Thursday of
alternate months in the Bangay rooms. The contact for these events is Sheila
Hart on 01494 785003.
A Programme of open evenings is a newer initiative. Church members
are welcome to bring along their
non–Christian family and friends.
Each evening consists of a meal with a glass of wine, presentation on
the topic from a guest speaker and a chance for discussion and questions.
Donations are requested of £8.50 or £7 each if you bring a friend. Some
concessions are also available.
The programme for 2008 will be posted soon.
