Senior Fellowship
The
St Mary's Senior Fellowship meets in St Mary's Church Rooms at 7:30pm on
alternate Tuesdays with an average attendance of around 50. Meetings last for
about 90 minutes, starting with a short act of worship and ending with light
refreshments. The programme is varied and includes speakers, musical
entertainments and an Annual Dinner. There is also an Annual Outing.
Membership
is open to all, whether or not there is a link with St Mary's or, indeed, any
church. The object is to provide an opportunity for friendship and, especially,
deflection from the discomforts of disability or loneliness. The Fellowship
embraces all those who welcome this opportunity; 'Senior' is loosely interpreted
as retirement age and beyond.
