Epiphany

In this week’s newsletter, along with details about how to access our online service and materials for worship together at home with children and young people, you will find information about:-

  • Holy Communion Service, at St John’s this Sunday.
  • A note of thanks to all those who helped this Christmas.

Do see below for more information and consider who you might share this with for their encouragement.

While we are still free to meet for communal worship under the Government’s Tier 4 Covid restrictions, we are monitoring the situation closely. As the situation may change at short notice please do check back with us regularly.

Online Service this Sunday

This week’s recorded service for the Feast of the Epiphany, is led by Simon Winn.  Readings will be from Matthew chapter 2 and Chris Gercke will preach on the visit of the Magi to Jesus.

The link for this week’s service is here (click ‘play all’ in YouTube). A copy of the Order of Service can be downloaded here.

Please do share the link to our services with all those who you think might enjoy joining with us online.

Holy Communion at St John’s this Sunday

In church at 9.30am on Sunday we will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany with Holy Communion. In order to gather safely, numbers are limited. If you are intending to join please book here or contact the Churchwardens by email (wardens.stjohnsag@gmail.com).

Please read this information sheet before coming.

Thank you for continuing to follow the strict guidelines we have in place to enable us to worship safely  – we must continue to be vigilant, not least with concerns over a variant of covid spreading. The leadership of the Great Chesham Team parish is keeping a close eye on national Church of England guidelines and the regular updates we receive from the Diocese of Oxford.

Worship @ Home

For families worshiping together at home this Sunday, we will be exploring the story of the Magi. Some activities you might want to do together as a family can be downloaded here.

Additional resources can be found on the Parish Children’s resource page.

Resources for young people are available throught the dedicated Parish Youth website here.
